I already got Covid-19 vaccinated, whether I can travel to Vietnam with my vaccine passport or not?
In Covid-19 period, in order to protect the citizens, Vietnam Government has issued a lot of new entry regulations to restrict the entry procedures. Not all people now can get entry permit and travel to Vietnam like before.
Currently, Vietnam Government has not opened visa for tourism purpose yet. Only those who come for business purpose can apply business visa and enter Vietnam in 3 months with single entry. The applicants must have a negative Covid-19 testing 3 days before entry date. Vaccine passport is not required now.
However, as proposal in March 2022, Vietnam will open again visa application and open the borders for all people with vaccine passport or equivalent certificate. Vaccine passport or vaccination certificate is required at that time.
In conclusion, you cannot travel to Vietnam now because the Government is restricting the entry procedure to control the pandemic. However, the border will be opened soon when Vietnamese people get vaccinated. When the border opens again, you need to have a vaccine passport or vaccination certificate to enter Vietnam.
Updated in February 2022: Vietnam government approved the plan to grant visa and welcome international tourists to Vietnam from March 15, 2022.
