Finland and 3 Other Nordic Countries Are Stopped The visa waiver program when traveling to Vietnam

According to official information from the Vietnamese government, starting today March 10, 2020, the visa waiver program for Nordic countries including Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark will be suspended.

Previously, Vietnam allowed citizens from 13 countries to enter without a visa if the stay less than 15 days, including the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia, Belarus, Japan, South Korea. However, with situation of the nCovid-19 epidemic spread worldwide, the Vietnamese government decided to stop this unilateral visa exemption policy for most of the countries on the list.

On March 2, 2020, Vietnam suspended the visa waiver policy for Italian citizens

And on March 9, 2020, Vietnam officially suspended the visa exemption policy for citizens of 8 countries from Europe, including the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark.

As such, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish passport holders traveling to Vietnam will have to apply for a visa, not exempt from the visa as before.
