Current time in Vietnam:
Electronic Visa

Vietnam gives Danish citizens an e-visa multiple times of three months from August 2023

The Vietnamese government just made a new rule about electronic cards for people from Denmark. So, starting in August 2023, Danish citizens can use the e-visa system to apply for a 3-month visa that lets them enter and leave Vietnam multiple times.

1/ Starting in August 2023, Danish citizens will be able to get a 3-month E-visa that lets them enter and leave Vietnam multiple times

In 2017, Vietnam e-visa was tried out for the first time. At that time, Danish citizens could only apply for one type of e-visa: a single-entry visa that was good for up to 30 days and could only be used once. After Covid-19 did a lot of damage to the tourism business, the Vietnamese government reopened it and brought in tourists from other countries. But visa is still a problem for both Danish tourists and tourists from other countries in general.

In August 2023, after a meeting of the National Assembly, the Vietnamese government passed a new visa policy for people from Denmark. The length of an e-visa for Vietnam was changed from 30 days to 90 days, and it can be used more than once. This is a new thing that is being done to get Danish to come back to Vietnam.

2/ How to apply for a 3-month multiple-entry visa E-visa to Vietnam for Danish in 2023

The Vietnam 3-month multiple-entry E-visa is easy to apply for online once it has been opened. For an online visa, Danish need to have the following two soft files ready:

  • Passports: Scan or take a picture of the information page of the passport
  • picture: Take a digital picture of the person who wants to get a visa. They should not be wearing glasses.

Danish tourists can apply online for a 3-month multiple-entry visa to Vietnam once they have all the necessary documents:

To apply for a Vietnam visa, Danish citizens must first go to https://www.vietnamimmigration.com/apply-vietnam-visa/ . This is the link for Danish citizens.

The next step is for Danish to follow the website’s directions and fill out the online form. The information that is being asked for includes general information about the person, the type of visa, the date of entry, the date of exit, the place of entry, and the place of exit. Note that the right kind of visa is an electronic visa that is good for 3 months and lets you enter and leave the country more than once.

After that, keep following the directions to share your photo and passport, and give an email address to get the visa result.

Danish guests will be done with the online visa application process when they pay for their visa online.

3/ How long does it take for a Danish person to get an e-visa for three months so they can go to Vietnam more than once?

Each application for a 3-month multiple entry visa to Vietnam usually takes between 3 and 5 business days to process. The Vietnamese do not count Saturdays, Sundays, or national holidays as working days. From there, Danish can figure out when they can expect their visa results.

Danish tourists who want to go to Vietnam should apply for a visa online at least two weeks before their trip. This will help them avoid any problems that might come up. Danish people can pay an extra fee to get their visa results faster if they need a 3-month multiple-entry visa to get into Vietnam quickly.

After the E-visa is accepted, it will be sent to the Danish tourist’s email address that they gave on the online form. Check the information on the visa carefully, print out a copy, and save a digital copy on your phone. Before letting Danish people into Vietnam, the immigration worker will look at their electronic visa and passport.

In conclusion, Danish tourists now have a lot to gain from the new strategy that the Vietnamese government has put in place about visas. Danish people can now get the 3-month multi-entry E-visa. This makes it easier for Danish tourists to get visas and stay in Vietnam for a long time.
