1/ What is Vietnam police certificate?

2/ Who needs Vietnam police certificate?

All people who are 18 or older may need to get a Vietnam police certificate if you already spent a time in Vietnam before. This documents are required to prove that you have not been any criminal in Vietnam before.

In most cases, when you apply to become a permanent resident of Canada, you and your family members need to get a police certificate. And of course, if you have been in Vietnam before, you need to provide no criminal record in Vietnam.

Procedure to apply Vietnam police certificate #2 if you are in Vietnam:

If you are currently in Vietnam, You can:

  • Apply in person at your nearest municipal or provincial Justice Department (So Tu Phap) where you live permanently or temporarily. If your place of permanent or temporary residence is unidentifiable, you should apply in person or by mail to the National Center for Judicial Records (Trung Tam Ly Lich Tu Phap Quoc Gia).
