The month of March 2022 marked several milestones for Vietnam’s recovery efforts from the pandemic. Vietnam opened the borders to welcome back tourists again after two years of closures. A lot of flight routes have been resumed, which helps American come to Vietnam easier.

Vietnam has scrapped quarantine requirements and COVID-19 vaccination and testing proof for American travelers. What American tourists need to prepare to be allowed entry to Vietnam are valid visa and passport.

Step 1: Visit the official website for applying Vietnam E-visa for American

Visit this link https://www.vietnamimmigration.com/apply-vietnam-visa/ to start the visa application. It’s available in English and very easy to process. Keep in mind that the e-visa is only effective for a selective number of ports, please check if your planned airports, land ports, or seaports allow e-visa.

Step 2: Fill out the information on Vietnam E-visa application form

On this step, American will need to fill out all required information in application form. American can read the description to know more the type of visa they are applying.

• Your citizenship: Choose the nationality
• Purpose of visit: Choose tourist or business purpose
• Visa type: Choose “E-visa, 30 days single entry”
• Port of Arrival: Choose the arrival destination
• Port of Exit: Choose the exit place
• Entry date: Choose exactly the date you will enter. You can only arrive on or later than this entry date
• Exit date: Choose the expected exit date. You can choose maximum 30 days later than the entry date

Important Notes
